Rugged Windows does not recognize drive

Q: When I try to install an eSATA drive into the Rugged Windows, it does not recognize the newly plugged in drive?

A: By default the Rugged eSATA port is set for Hot Swap disabled for increased security. Should you need to enable it for use when adding or removing eSATA drives while Windows is running, you will need to enable Hot Swap in the Rugged BIOS. To access this in BIOS, boot or reboot the Rugged, press the Del key on your keyboard, arrow over to Advanced, arrow down to the SATA Config, press enter, arrow down to port 2, and change Hot Swap to Enabled. Save and Reset and you will now be able to plug in a eSATA and have Windows recognize the added eSATA drive.
